Borton serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade, with special emphasis on project-based learning, systems thinking, literature, fine arts, and outdoor learning.

In 2018, I began serving as Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Tucson High Magnet School. Outdoor Learning Outdoor Learning At Borton we have several outdoor areas. We use them in a number of ways for educational opportunities. Immediately to the south of the playground is BELL, Borton’s Environmental Learning Laboratory, which is an undeveloped 3-acre area where kids can study the desert ecosystem firsthand.

Softball The Borton Softball team is made up of fourth and fifth graders, who practice after school two days each week during the first half of the spring semester, then play games against other TUSD schools from March until May. The 2019 Borton Softball Team won second place in the city tournament!
