Gmu 14 or 214 archery elk in Colorado Planning on bow hunting elk in one of these two areas in September. We plan on going out this summer and do some scouting. Any help on trailheads or general areas to check out would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking at GMU 15 during second rifle season for mule deer just because of its size and the fact that it looks to provide good opportunity from the short bit i've found on it online. Is this a decent unit to be looking at in my situation? I will be hunting alone, for at least the first 4 days.
Do a forum search around different topics involving Colorado GMU 4, you will find a few posts regarding GMU 4. 2nd Rifle Season is the hardest time to kill a bull elk. Also, lots of hunter during 2nd rifle season. Personally, 3rd rifle season provides better odds due to the snow.
